Interested in AmeriCorps? Start with Generation Volunteer

Ever heard of AmeriCorps and thought, “That sounds cool… but where do I even start?”

You can start with the Generation Volunteer Summit.

The Generation Volunteer Summit brings together peers ages 15–25 who are interested in making a difference, exploring service opportunities, and figuring out what they want to do next. Whether you’re already thinking about AmeriCorps or are just curious about what it is, GVS is a chance to learn, connect, and get started.

Not sure what AmeriCorps actually looks like?

AmeriCorps isn’t one single type of experience. Depending on the program, you could spend your service term:

  • Supporting students in a classroom or after-school program
  • Helping communities prepare for and respond to disasters
  • Working on environmental and conservation projects
  • Supporting health and wellness programs
  • Helping expand economic opportunity
  • Serving veterans and military families
  • Building skills through hands-on community work

There are AmeriCorps programs and service opportunities across Utah, so your experience could look very different from someone else’s. You can explore AmeriCorps programs offered in Utah here.

At the Generation Volunteer Summit, you can learn more about what service can look like, meet people who are already involved, and discover opportunities that might be a good fit for you.

You don’t have to have it all figured out.

Maybe you’re looking for a way to spend a gap year. Maybe you want experience before starting your career or you need a resume builder. Maybe you know you want to help your community but have no idea what that could look like.

That’s exactly why you should come to GVS.

Explore. Ask questions. Meet your people. Find your next step.

Your AmeriCorps journey could start at Generation Volunteer Summit.
